Forthcoming ICF Supported Conferences in

2008

Challenge Training Partners are planning the following conferences in 2008. In the case of one and two day events most of them start with a briefing for advisers early in the morning on the first day. However in a three day event an adviser briefing will be arranged for late afternoon/evening on the first day. Most end about 5.00 pm on the last day. They vary in content and length but are usually on the theme of the challenge of management and contain work on key enterprise skills. The year group is stated in each case.


The events with years 10 and 11 directly relate to the statutory requirement for work-related learning at key stage 4.




9-10 June - Reading

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at Reading Bluecoat School with the girls of St Joseph's Convent School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.




10 June - Halifax

1 day Enterprise in Action for year 6 students of The Gleddings School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.



11-12 June - Reading

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at The Abbey School for their students and the students of Magdalen College School in Oxford. Adviser briefing early on first morning.




18-19 June - Halifax

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at The North Halifax Grammar School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.




17-19 June - Shrewsbury

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at Shrewsbury School for that school and Shrewsbury High School. Adviser briefing on the Wednesday evening with a conference start the following morning.




24 June - Birmingham

1 day sixth form Challenge of Management at King Edward's School for that school and King Edward's High School for Girls. Adviser briefing early in the morning.




1-3 July - Maidstone

2½ day sixth form Challenge of Management with Sutton Valence School. Adviser briefing on the Wednesday afternoon with a conference start that evening.




1-3 July - Heckmondwike

2½ day sixth form Challenge of Management at Heckmondwike Grammar School in Yorkshire. Adviser briefing on the Wednesday afternoon with a conference start that evening.




6-7 July - Bolton

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at Canon Slade School in Bolton. Adviser briefing early on first morning.




6-7 July - Wokingham

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at the Holt School in Wokingham School in Berkshire. Their students are joined by those from Reading School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.




8 July - Halifax

1 day Enterprise in Action for year 10 students of the North Halifax Grammar School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.



9-10 July - Chelmsford

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management for the students of King Edward VI Grammar School and Chelmsford County High School for Girls. Adviser briefing on the Wednesday evening with a conference start the following morning.




10 July - Basildon

Year 10 Enterprise in Action at The Woodlands School. Adviser briefing early on the Friday morning.




13-15 July - Clitheroe

2½ day sixth form Challenge of Management at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in Lancashire. Adviser briefing on the Wednesday afternoon with a conference start that evening.




15 July - Birmingham

1 day sixth form Challenge of Management for the students of King Edward VI Handsworth School and St Paul's School for Girls. Adviser briefing early in the morning.




22-23 October - Canterbury

2 day sixth form Challenge of Management at Simon Langton Grammar School for Girls. Their students are joined by those from Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Faversham. Adviser briefing early on first morning.

1 day Enterprise in Action for year 10 students of Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.



June - Halifax

1 day Enterprise in Action for year 10 students of the North Halifax Grammar School. Adviser briefing early on first morning.





CTP tell us that they are also having discussions for future events in particular in Oldham, Brentwood, Birmingham, Bury, Lancaster, Southend, Thurrock, North Yorkshire, Rossdendale, Calderdale, Lancashire, Kent and Essex.
